On Tuesday, State Representative Christine Goodwin announced her endorsement of State Representative and former House GOP Leader Christine Drazan, in the race for governor.

Goodwin said, “Christine cares deeply about the success of Oregonians”. Goodwin said, “She is a talented leader who I have seen firsthand help and support the people of our state, not control with force and authority”. Goodwin said Drazan will prioritize state resources to reflect what Oregonians care most about: “…faith, family, community and work”.

Drazan, a southern Oregon native, expressed her appreciation for Goodwin’s support and committed to working with the state representative as governor to provide the region with a greater voice in state government.

Drazan said, “Too often the voices of Southern Oregon residents are drowned out by Portland politicians and their out-of-touch agenda”. Drazan said Goodwin understands the unique challenges this region faces and has ideas to solve them. Drazan said she would lean on Goodwin’s advice and counsel to ensure “…that Southern Oregon residents are better served by their state government”.
