A Glendale woman was jailed for an alleged unauthorized use of a vehicle and restraining order violation incident on Monday.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 6:15 p.m. a deputy got info that the victim’s pickup was being driven around Glendale while he was in jail. The victim advised that he did not give permission for anyone to have his vehicle and wanted to press charges.
The deputy saw the vehicle leave an address on Woodley. He initiated a traffic stop and found a woman driving it. He realized she was restrained from being at that property, so he detained her.
The 27-year old initially said she had purchased the vehicle in Grants Pass and then changed her story to say he bought it at the Merlin rest stop. She admitted to having the vehicle since last Friday.
The suspect was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and for the restraining order violation. Bail was set at $60,000.
