Two members of Congress have reacted to Sunday’s passing of Frank Moore.

Senator Ron Wyden said, “So very sorry to hear of the passing of my friend Frank Moore. Oregonians will always have Frank and his wife Jeanne to thank for translating their love of the North Umpqua River into a lifetime of dedication to preserving this natural treasure for all”.

Congressman Peter DeFazio said, “I am deeply saddened to hear the news that my friend Frank Moore has passed away at the age of 98. Frank’s contributions and service to the state of Oregon was monumental”. DeFazio said “Frank was one of the foremost conservationists in our state’s history. He served on the State Fish and Wildlife Commission from 1971 to 1974 and has been repeatedly recognized for his efforts to preserve fish habitats”.
