Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged burglary on Sunday.

An RPD report said shortly after 5:00 a.m. 22-year old Devin Goodman allegedly enter a room at Roseburg Value Inn in the 500 block of Southeast Stephens and grabbed a female and her phone. Goodman ran from officers on contact and was surrounded in the downtown parking garage. Dispatch told officers that the suspect had a number of warrants.

The report said K9 Axel arrived on the scene and after a quick search located Goodman in a nearby camp trailer. The suspect refused to come out, so K9 Axel was released and bit the man on the arm and then dragged him out of the trailer. Goodman immediately gave up. He was placed in handcuffs without further incident.

Goodman was cleared by medical before being taken to corrections. He was held for 12 charges including first-degree burglary, third-degree theft, second-degree criminal mischief, harassment, menacing and for the warrants. Bail was set at $266,250.
