COVID-19 CLAIMS 8 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 5,631, AS OF TUESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 8 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 5,631, as of Tuesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 1,900 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 416,020.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 398, which is 17 more than on Monday. There are 97 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 3 more than on Monday.

The new cases include:

*258 in Multnomah County

*257 in Marion County

*217 in Washington County

*182 in Deschutes County
