Utilities in Douglas County are continuing with power restoration efforts as stormy conditions continue in some areas.

Pacific Power Regional Business Manager Sam Carter said their staff and contractors have made good progress but are continuing to deal with new outages. Carter said as of mid-day on Tuesday, approximately 850 customers are without power in the Roseburg, Sutherlin, Glide and Canyonville areas.

Douglas Electric Cooperative Assistant General Manager Phil Bigler said 400 members are without power. Bigler said half of those are in the Camas Valley and Tenmile areas. That number comprises 74 small outages spread throughout the service territory. Bigler said that has made recovery slower than usual, but with added contract crews significant progress has been made.
