UTILITIES STILL WORKING TO RESTORE SERVICE

December 28, 2021 3:50 a.m.

Utilities in the region are still working to restore power to many customers following the stormy conditions of the past few days.

As of early Tuesday, Pacific Power reports close to 800 customers without power in southern Douglas County. An additional 140 plus customers have no power, east of Glide.

Douglas Electric Cooperative said there were approximately 750 members without power as of late Monday. DEC had a contract crew arrive Monday night which joined local workers and headed out to the Camas Valley and Tenmile areas. Fresh DEC crews and additional contract workers are joining those already working on Tuesday to tackle the large number of small outages that are reported throughout their system.
