Storm warnings remain in effect for most of southern Oregon through early Monday morning.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said heavy snow is expected above 500 feet with additional snow accumulations of 5 to 12 inches, and locally higher amounts to 18 inches above 2,500 feet. 3 to 6 inches is possible below 500 feet. This is for central Douglas County, Josephine County and eastern Curry County.

For the south-central Oregon Cascades including Crater Lake and Diamond Lake, 1 to 2 feet of snow is forecast with locally higher amounts to 3 feet in the higher terrain. 8 to 12 inches is expected over the Siskiyou summit. Winds may gust as high as 45 miles per hour.

Forecasters said travel could be very difficult to impossible around the region. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
