2 more people have died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, 142 more people have received new positive test results, and 10 more are presumptive, as of Wednesday.
The Douglas County COVID-19 Weekly Update covered data reported between December 16th and Wednesday.
The newly reported deaths include:
*A 52-year old man who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on December 13th and passed away on Sunday. He was fully vaccinated.
*A 76-year old man who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on December 12th and passed away on Tuesday. He was not vaccinated.
No delayed reports of deaths were received this week.
The total number of cases is now at 14,064. Of those, 13,552 are people that have received positive test results and 512 are presumptive. 22 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 19 locally and 3 outside the area. 5 COVID-19 positive patients are in the Intensive Care Unit and 3 COVID-19 positive patients are in the Progressive Care Unit. 18 of the 22 hospitalized patients are not fully vaccinated.
