DEPUTIES JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED STRANGULATION INCIDENT

Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man following an alleged strangulation incident on Monday.

A DCSO report said just before 9:00 p.m. a victim called and said the 38-year old suspect had choked them and then left in a SUV. The incident reportedly took place in the 300 block of East First Avenue in Riddle. A deputy located the vehicle in the 100 block of First Street in Canyonville and stopped it. The suspect was the driver.

The deputy investigated the report and determined that the crime had been committed. The man was charged with strangulation and for a parole violation. He was held without bail.
