COVID-19 CLAIMS 5 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 5,531, AS OF FRIDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 5 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 5,531, as of Friday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 1,072 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 405,292.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 383, which is 6 fewer than on Thursday. There are 103 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 7 more than on Thursday.

The new cases include:

*212 in Multnomah County

*144 in Columbia County

*143 in Marion County

*77 in Lane County
