A transient was jailed following an alleged disorderly conduct incident on Thursday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 8:00 a.m. deputies were informed that the suspect was causing a disturbance in the cafeteria at the courthouse. Two deputies spotted the man already walking towards Southeast Jackson Street. After a minor struggle, the man was taken into custody. He had reportedly broken a piece of the door frame in the cafeteria.

The transient was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and third-degree theft. Bail was set at $4,000.
