COUNTY MAN DIES AT OREGON STATE PENITENTIARY

A man with an arrest record in Douglas County, has died while in custody at the Oregon State Penitentiary.

The Oregon Department of Corrections said 43-year old Timothy Bond passed away on Saturday evening. As with all in-custody deaths, the Oregon State Police have been notified and the State Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.

Bond entered DOC custody on June 29th, 2021. His earliest release date was June 9th of 2023.

Bond was last arrested in May of 2021 by the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team. He and 42-year old Leah Wilkins were accused of dealing drugs close to the entrance of Sunnyslope Elementary School in Green.
