WINSTON POLICE JAIL MAN IN FIREARM CASE

Winston Police jailed a man in a firearm case on Friday.

Sergeant Mike Miller of the Winston Police said Carlos Bernal was a suspect regarding a firearm that was stolen and later discharged into the air while in a residential neighborhood in Winston. Miller said officers developed probable cause for the arrest of Bernal. The suspect turned himself into WPD and was taken to the Douglas County Jail.

Charges include first-degree theft, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, recklessly endangering another person, and for second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $115,000.
