Roseburg Police cited a Coquille man for fraud following an alleged incident early Friday.

An RPD report said at 3:30 a.m. a victim reported that she and the suspect had been hanging out at a motel in the 2800 block of Northwest Edenbower Boulevard. The victim said at one point the man left the room and did not come back. After a while, the victim realized her credit card was missing from her wallet. She said she received a text message from her bank asking about a $1,000 transfer to the suspect.

The report said the suspect was located and confessed his involvement in the crime. The 30-year old was cited for computer crime, identity theft, a felony count of fraudulent use of a credit card, and for first-degree attempted theft. The man was released after the citation was issued.
