A Eugene woman was cited for alleged child neglect by Roseburg Police on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 12:00 p.m. officers contacted the 27-year old after witnesses allegedly found her 2-year old child on the sidewalk in front of a business in the 100 block of Northeast Garden Valley Boulevard. The suspect reportedly left the child there while she walked across the street to a fast food outlet.

Staff with the Department of Human Services responded and contacted the child’s father to retrieve the child. The mother was cited for child-neglect in the second degree and was released.
