Sutherlin City Hall is closed until December 20th at the direction of County Public Health Officer Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer, due to COVID-19.
Dannenhoffer told News Radio 1240 KQEN that “the city reported a large number of cases and exposed contacts, and thought it best to close for a while”.
An announcement on the city’s Facebook page was posted mid-morning Wednesday.
Information from City Recorder and Human Resources Manager Melanie Masterfield said most staff will be available by email. Masterfield said the due date for water and sewer bills has been extended from the 15th to the 20th. There is a locked box out in front of the police department for payments. The December 13th city council meeting has been rescheduled to December 20th.
No further information has been released by the City of Sutherlin.
