3 MORE DEATHS, 3 DELAYED DEATH RESULTS, 227 NEW POSITIVES

3 more people have died related COVID-19 in Douglas County, 3 more delayed deaths have been announced, 227 more people have received new positive test results, and 24 more are presumptive, as of Wednesday.

The Douglas County COVID-19 Weekly Update covered data reported from December 2nd through December 8th.

The new deaths include:

*An 81-year old man

*A 71-year old woman

*A 73-year old man

2 were fully vaccinated and 1 was not vaccinated.

Delayed deaths being reported include:

*A 74-year old man

*A 92-year old man

*A 96-year old woman

None were vaccinated. Local health officials were notified of these deaths by either a hospice facility, a long-term care facility or by Oregon Vital Records.

The total number of cases is now at 13,694. Of those, 12,215 are people that have received positive test results and 479 are presumptive. 27 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 15 locally and 12 outside the area. 2 COVID-19 positive patients are in the Intensive Care Unit and 2 are in the Progressive Care Unit. 22 of the 27 hospitalized patients are not fully vaccinated.
