Two unattached structures sustained significant structural and water damage and a nearby manufactured home received exposure damage to its exterior, in a fire on Monday.

Fire Marshal Brian Jewell of the Roseburg Fire Department said at about 9:20 a.m. personnel responded to a reported residential structure fire in the 1700 block Northwest Eden Street. Jewell said multiple callers notified dispatchers of smoke and flames being visible next to the property. One caller said they were working to get all of the residents out of the residential structure.

Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke and fire coming from the unattached structures that was spreading to the nearby manufactured home. Firefighters conducted a primary and secondary search to confirm that no one was inside. Crews made an initial exterior attack, completed an interior attack for extension, and completed overhaul. One adult was displaced but no one was injured in the fire. The American Red Cross was notified and is assisting the resident.
Jewell said the fire is under investigation. A number of other agencies assisted RFD at the scene of the fire.
