The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has jailed a woman in connection with an alleged robbery incident.

A DCSO report said Sunday morning at 7:00 a.m. a call came in saying there had been a robbery in the 700 block of South Main Street in Myrtle Creek. A victim said two women knocked on the door and when she opened it one of the suspects grabbed her, covered her mouth and demanded to know where her money was at. When the victim pointed to the bedroom, the suspect grabbed her fanny-pack, which had valuables in it, and both the suspects took off running.

The report said a review of security footage showed the women approaching the residence and later running away. One of the women was recognized from previous contacts at the apartment complex. She was identified as Britt McMahon-Luster.

The suspect was contacted later in the day in Roseburg and taken into custody. Charges included second-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, strangulation, harassment, second-degree counts of theft and disorderly conduct and for first-degree criminal trespass. McMahon-Luster was held on $523,750 bail.
