A Roseburg man was jailed following an alleged harassment incident on Saturday.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said shortly before 9:00 p.m. the 56-year old was contacted in the 6,000 block of the North Umpqua Highway just east of Roseburg, following a caller saying there was a disturbance. A victim told a deputy that the suspect had yanked him out of his chair, and struck him with a cane. The report said the suspect initially admitted to putting him hands on the victim.
The man was charged with two counts of harassment. Bail was set at $5,000.
