The Friends of the Roseburg Public Library will hold a winter book sale beginning on Thursday.

Library Director Kris Wiley said the three-day event will be held in the Ford Room at the library on Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard.

Hardcover books will initially be sold for $2 while paperback books are priced at $1. Wiley said the books are all suitable for gifting and said none of them are ones that were withdrawn from the library.

Proceeds benefit the library’s collections, programs and projects. Over the past year, such funding has supported author visits, the Summer Reading Program, and other projects.

Wiley said this will be the first sale since the COVID-19 pandemic began, so visitors can expect several modifications to ensure customer and volunteer safety. Masks are required and only 10 patrons will be allowed in the Ford Room at one time.

Sale hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Books are half price the final day.
