5 more people have died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, 123 more people have received new positive test results, and 13 more are presumptive, as of Monday.
The Douglas County COVID-19 Update covered data reported Thursday through Monday. It said the new deaths are all delayed notifications of COVID-19 related deaths. They came from either Oregon Vital Records or from a hospice or long-term care facility.
The newly reported deaths include:
*An 83-year old woman
*An 87-year old man,
*A 93-year old man
*An 86-year old man
*An 85-year old man
3 were not vaccinated and 2 were fully vaccinated.
The total number of cases is now at 12,916. Of those, 12,509 are people that have received positive test results and 407 are presumptive. 28 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 21 locally and 7 outside the area. 1 COVID positive patient is in the Intensive Care Unit and 4 are in the Progressive Care Unit. 23 of the 28 hospitalized patients are not fully vaccinated.
