A transient was jailed following an alleged assault incident on Wednesday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just before 10:25 p.m. a 33-year old man allegedly punched a victim in the face multiple times during an argument before breaking out his own vehicle’s window with a rock and driving away, striking a second victim with the sedan. The first victim had noticeable injuries.

The incident reportedly took place in the 3000 block of Highway 99 South.

The report said the suspect, identified as Hunter Wilson, then proceeded to drive into the back of a third victim’s vehicle before leaving the area. Deputies located Wilson on Highway 99 and conducted a traffic stop along Southeast Stephens in the south end of Roseburg.

Wilson was charged with felony fourth-degree assault, reckless endangering, failure to perform the duties of a driver in a hit and run incident, second-degree criminal mischief, and for warrants. Bail was set at $75,000.
