A utility trailer collided with a semi-truck on Highway 42 early Tuesday.

A report from Oregon State Police said at about 12:10 a.m. a pickup was westbound about three miles east of Tenmile pulling the covered trailer. The trailer became unattached from the pickup and crossed over into the eastbound lane of travel striking the semi which was pulling a loaded trailer. The semi-truck left the roadway going over an embankment before coming to rest.

A towing company responded to recover the semi-truck and trailer. The highway was closed for a period of time while that was taking place. The utility trailer was removed from the roadway as well. The report said the pickup did not stop and was not located.

No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.
