A man was hospitalized after a single vehicle wreck on Sunday night.

A report from Oregon State Police said at about 8:15 p.m. the driver of a southbound sedan on Interstate 5 failed to negotiate a corner at the Anlauf/Lorane off ramp, and the vehicle struck the guardrail. The report said a second vehicle rented to the driver had a loaded shotgun in it. The driver was determined to be a convicted felon and was arrested. He sought medical attention for injuries received during the crash.

The 36-year old man was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for treatment. He was released after being treated, according to a hospital spokesman. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
