CHI Mercy Medical Center has released information about employee status for the State of Oregon vaccination mandate.

Communications Representative Sarah Baumgartner said as of Friday, Mercy had 962 vaccinated employees. Baumgartner said just over 100 employees are unable to work for three reasons: their exemption was denied, their exemption is under review or they are in the middle of completing the vaccination.

In August, Governor Kate Brown announced that all health care workers in the state would have to be vaccinated against COVID-19 by October 18th.
