6 MORE DEATHS, 77 NEW POSITIVE TEST RESULTS

6 more people have died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, and 77 more people have received new positive test results, as of Monday.

The Douglas County COVID-19 Update covered data reported Saturday through Monday.

The Douglas Public Health Network has confirmed that the new deaths include 2 men that were age 71, and men that were age 80, 102, 79 and 96.

The 80-year old man and the 96-year old man were fully vaccinated.

The update said the total number of cases is now at 12,217. Of those, 11,845 are people that have received positive test results and 372 are presumptive. 35 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 22 locally and 13 outside the area, including 1 that has been transferred out of state. 2 COVID positive patients are in the Intensive Care Unit and none are in the Progressive Care Unit. 31 of the 35 hospitalized patients are not fully vaccinated.
