ROSEBURG CITY COUNCIL MEETING MONDAY NIGHT

October 25, 2021 3:40 a.m.

The Roseburg City Council is meeting via Zoom on Monday night.

Mayor Larry Rich will recognize members of the Roseburg Police Department. Specific details are not listed on the agenda.

Councilors will vote on awarding a bid for a standby generator project at the water treatment plant. The project includes installing two standby generators, one at the city’s water treatment plant and one at the Reservoir Hill complex. This is in response to the February 2019 incident when the plant was without power for 30 hours following a significant snowstorm. The lowest bid is for just over $2.35 million dollars.

Councilors will also vote on allowing City Manager Nikki Messenger to negotiate and enter into an agreement with Aviva Health to pay up to $140.000 for Aviva to hire and employ a Homeless Transition Action Group Coordinator for a two-year period.

Other items are on the agenda as well.

The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. It can be watched live on the city’s Facebook page and seen later at: www.cityofroseburg.org.
