NEEWOLLAH PARADE GOING VIRTUAL AGAIN THIS YEAR

The 53rd annual Neewollah Parade in Roseburg is going virtual again this year, due to the pandemic.

The event is being presented by the Downtown Roseburg Association and the Douglas County Board of Commissioners.

A release said participants can now submit a photo of their Halloween costume or decorated home through November 3rd. Approved submissions are automatically entered to win one of ten grand prizes for the costume contest or one of three grand prizes for the house decorating contest. DRA Executive Director Jessica Bogardus said the organization is “…overjoyed to welcome and support events downtown in any capacity, always moving towards a thriving community and partners with a shared vision”. She said while Halloween may be different due to the pandemic, with the help of the community and partners “…we can arrive at a fun and safe experience”.
