A Roseburg man was jailed following an alleged robbery on Monday.

A Roseburg Police report said at about 3:00 p.m. 30-year old Samuel Makinson allegedly stole some items from an unlocked vehicle in the 700 block of Southeast Jackson. He then reportedly went into the Downtown Market and stole drinks, and then fought with an employee as he tried to retain the drinks.

When contacted by police, Makinson allegedly resisted arrest, resulting in him being taken to the ground and taken into custody. Bail was set at $65,000.
