Roseburg Police have jailed a man and charged him with a recent alleged assault.

An RPD report said 26-year old Dustin Williams was taken into custody Sunday night at 9:00 p.m. in the 2600 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. Police had been seeking Williams since a man was assaulted on October 10th. At that time, Williams allegedly punched the victim and knocked him out after claiming the victim had touched a female inappropriately. The victim sustained a traumatic brain injury and was transported to a Portland hospital after initially being taken to CHI Mercy Medical Center.

Williams was contacted at the same location where the assault allegedly took place. He was held for second-degree assault and a parole violation and was detained without bail.
