1 MORE DEATH, 86 NEW POSITIVE TEST RESULTS, 2 NEW PRESUMPTIVE

1 more person has died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, 86 more people have received new positive test results, and 2 more are presumptive, as of Friday.

The Douglas County COVID-19 update covered data reported Thursday and Friday.

The 241st COVID-19 related death in the county was a 68-year old woman who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on September 9th and passed away on October 7th. She was not vaccinated.

The update said the total number of cases is now at 11,813. Of those, 11,470 are people that have received positive test results and 343 are presumptive. 36 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 23 locally and 13 outside the area, including 1 that has been transferred out of state. 6 COVID positive patients are in the Intensive Care Unit and 2 are in the Progressive Care Unit. 33 of the 36 patients are not fully vaccinated.
