The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning and a Frost Advisory for parts of the region, through mid-morning Tuesday.

The Freeze Warning is for the southern portions of the Umpqua Basin, near Tiller, Azalea and Glendale. It is also in effect for parts of Josephine and Jackson counties. Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 20 degrees are expected.

The Frost Advisory is for most of Douglas County including Roseburg, Camas Valley, Sutherlin, Glide and Drain. It is also in effect for eastern Curry County. Temperatures as low as 33 degrees will result in frost formation.

Forecasters said freezing conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation and possibly damaged unprotected outdoor plumbing.

The warning and the advisory are in place until 9:00 a.m.
