A Roseburg man was jailed following an alleged menacing incident on Friday.

A Roseburg Police report said at about 7:10 p.m. officers responded to the 300 block of Northeast Kirby Avenue after 37-year old Donald Gardiner Junior allegedly threatened a woman with a knife. The suspect was located a few blocks away and was taken into custody.

Charges included attempted assault, unlawful use of a weapon and for menacing. He was also detained for a parole violation and was held without bail.
