MAN HOSPITALIZED AFTER SINGLE VEHICLE CRASH

A 42-year old man was hospitalized after a single vehicle wreck on Thursday.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at 10:15 a.m. the driver was brought to the North Douglas Fire Station in Drain after crashing his vehicle. Evidence suggested the man had fallen asleep while driving on Brush Creek Road, then his vehicle went off the roadside and into a tree.

The report said the man had a large laceration on his forehead and was taken to PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield.  There were no signs of intoxication. The vehicle was towed from where the crash took place.
