The Roseburg Area Command of Oregon State Police is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing person in Douglas County.

On September 28th, troopers responded to an abandoned green 2006 Nissan Altima on Interstate 5 near the Myrtle Creek exit 108 on-ramp. Troopers found that the vehicle was a hazard and had it towed.

On September 30th, it was learned by the owner of the vehicle, 51-year old Marco Currin from Olympia, Washington, was reported as a missing person. Family from Newport Beach, California reported him missing to local authorities. OSP personnel contacted the Newport Beach Police Department to let them know Currin’s vehicle had been towed.

As this time, OSP is assisting the Newport Beach Police Department in locating Currin.

Currin is described as being 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing between 135 and 140 pounds. He has reddish gray hair and wears a pair of round eye glasses.
