A Canyonville man died in a wreck on Interstate 5 on Monday.

A report from Oregon State Police said at about 9:45 a.m. OSP troopers and emergency personnel responded to the single vehicle wreck southbound near the landfill exit. A preliminary investigation revealed that a pickup operated by 74-year old Thomas Kelly, left the roadway for an unknown reason, struck the embankment and rolled.

Kelly sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. OSP was assisted by staff from the Oregon Department of Transportation.
