1 more person has died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, 71 more people have received new positive test results, 2 presumptive have been moved to positive with a positive test result, and 1 more is presumptive, as of Monday.

The Douglas County COVID-19 update covered data reported Saturday through Monday.

The 222nd COVID-19 related death was a 94-year old woman who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on August 29th and passed away on September 10th. The Douglas Public Health Network was notified by the long-term care facility on Monday. She was not vaccinated.

The update said the total number of cases is now at 11,376. Of those, 11,044 are people that have received positive test results and 332 are presumptive. 60 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 38 locally and 22 outside the area, including 1 that has been transferred out of state. 12 ventilators and 11 BiPAP machines are in use. 7 COVID positive patients are in the Intensive Care Unit and 6 are in the Progressive Care Unit. 54 out of the 60 patients are not fully vaccinated.
