Douglas Education Service District’s Safe Routes to School program has partnered with Oregon Safe Routes to School and Thrive Umpqua to sponsor Walk ‘N Roll to School and Walk ‘N Roll to Anywhere Week next Monday through Friday.

A release said the purpose is to encourage people to walk, bike and roll to school or their community.

Events are planned for students in grades K-12 and their families, which includes in-person, distance learning and homeschool students. All participants should follow bicycle and pedestrian safety guidelines and are encouraged to participate with a friend or family member.
