ROUGH PATCH COMPLEX GROWS BY JUST OVER 1,100 ACRES

The Rough Patch Complex has grown by just over 1,100 acres and is now at 41,185 acres.

An update from the Northern Rockies Incident Management Team said the Chaos Fire is at 22,860 acres while the Little Bend Fire is at 7,744 acres. Burning operations along the 176 Road will continue to strengthen containment lines. Crews are monitoring increased fire activity in the Saint Peter and City Creek drainages to the north and east of the Chaos Fire, and along the 2850 Road to the south of the Little Bend Fire.

The Jack Fire is at 23,990 acres and the Buckhead Fire is at 5,714 acres. The west, north and northeast end of the Jack Fire has been contained and is being patrolled. Nighttime operations along the 100 Road have added depth to the fire line. Firefighters will reinforce containment lines with additional burning where necessary and will monitor and hold the line in surrounding locations.

The Near Minky Fire is at 4,867 acres. The eastern edge and a portion of the western edge have been contained.

Containment on the Rough Patch Complex has risen to 28 percent while containment on the Jack Fire is still at 55 percent.
