A Roseburg man was jailed for an alleged assault on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at about 7:10 p.m. officers responded to the 2500 block of Northwest Edenbower Boulevard regarding a disturbance. The report said the 45-year old suspect allegedly grabbed onto the victim’s arm and shoved her, causing a large chunk of her flesh to be removed from her forearm.

The man was charged with 4th degree assault. Bail was set at $6,250.
