A Roseburg man was jailed, following an alleged DUII incident on Tuesday.
The Roseburg Police report said at 11:20 p.m. a vehicle rear-ended a second vehicle, while both were headed westbound near the corner of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard and Northwest Mulholland Drive.
The report said the accident happened because the second driver slowed to a near stop as he was unsure if the freeway on ramp was open due to construction in that area. His vehicle was hit by the first vehicle. That first vehicle bounced off and into the construction area, where it ruined a significant amount of cement framing. The first driver then fled on foot but was quickly found by a second officer.
The suspect was charged with DUII, and with two counts of failure to perform the duties of a driver-property damage. He was also detained for a parole violation and held without bail.
