COVID-19 has claimed 19 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 3,012, as of Friday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 2,187 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 252,977.
Oregon Health Authority Director Patrick Allen said “Today we mark another sad milestone in the pandemic: Our 3,000th COVID-19 related death”.
OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 866, which is 21 more than on Thursday. There are 241 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 15 more than on Thursday. Both of those numbers are record highs for the pandemic.

*125 in Josephine County
*94 in Umatilla County
*74 in Clackamas County
*47 in Coos County

*40 in Klamath County
*39 in Wasco County
*36 in Tillamook County
*35 in Clatsop County
*34 in Polk County
*32 each in Columbia and Lincoln counties
*28 in Curry County
*19 each in Benton and Harney counties
*17 in Union County
*15 Malheur County
*13 each in Crook and Jefferson counties
*12 each in Hood River and Morrow counties
*7 in Baker County
*5 in Wallowa County
*4 in Grant County
2 each in Gilliam and Sherman counties
The new deaths ranged in age from 62 to 100. 6 lived in Josephine County. 3 lived in Clackamas County. 2 lived in Klamath County. 1 each lived in Douglas, Deschutes, Umatilla, Union, Multnomah, Polk, and Wasco counties.
OHA reported that 9,559 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 2,650 were initial doses and 1,401 were second doses administered on Thursday. 4,790 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Thursday.
