Greater Douglas United Way has postponed its annual kick-off breakfast.

Executive Director Bryan Trenkle said the move was made in light of the developing situation with COVID-19 in the community, and due to an abundance of caution. The event had been set for September 2nd.

Trenkle said he is disappointed to have to make the decision but feels it’s needed to help flatten the recent surge and to help keep the community safe. For now, the breakfast is set for Thursday October 14th at 7:00 a.m. at Splitz on Diamond Lake Boulevard.
