A Roseburg man was cited for an alleged assault on Monday.

A Roseburg Police report said at 10:40 a.m. a man was riding a skateboard with a juvenile near the corner of Northwest Stewart Parkway and Northwest Valley View Drive. The report said they rode past a 31-year old suspect who allegedly hit the first man in the ear with an umbrella. The victim took the umbrella and threw into a field, which led to the suspect tackling the victim and punching him in the head multiple times.

The report said the victim received a minor cut on the top of the head, but refused medical attention.

The suspect was cited for fourth-degree assault, and then was released.
