Active fire continues on the Jack Fire and on the Rough Patch Complex, burning on the Umpqua National Forest.

An update from Great Basin Incident Management Team 2 said the southwest and south flanks of the Jack Fire, the Buckhead and Near Minky fires, and the Chaos and Little Bend fires, all are active. Crews are working on constructing more fire line and contingency lines where needed.

The update said with low-pressure moving in, this is likely to be the coolest time of the week.

The Jack Fire is 51 percent contained and is burning in 23,691 acres. The Rough Patch Complex is only 3 percent contained, burning on 14,581 acres.
