COVID-19 has claimed 6 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,855, as of Thursday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 1,026 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 218,689. The new cases include:
*111 in Jackson County
*110 in Umatilla County
*95 in Multnomah County
*93 in Lane County
*69 in Clackamas County
*66 in Marion County
*60 in Washington County
*54 in Douglas County
*46 in Linn County
*36 in Deschutes County
*35 in Josephine County
*27 in Wasco County
*24 in Polk County
*21 in Union County
*20 each in Coos and Yamhill counties
*18 in Clatsop County
*17 each in Benton and Klamath counties
*11 each in Baker and Curry counties
*8 in Tillamook County
*7 each in Crook and Malheur counties
*6 in Morrow County
*5 each in Columbia and Sherman counties
*4 each in Hood River, Jefferson, Lincoln and Wheeler counties
*3 each in Grant, Harney and Wallowa counties
*2 in Gilliam County
The new deaths ranged in age from 48 to 85. 2 each lived in Jackson and Marion counties. 1 each lived in Douglas and Linn counties.
OHA said the total number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 285, which is 11 more than on Wednesday. There are 84 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 2 fewer than on Wednesday.
OHA reported that 7,180 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 3,292 doses were administered on Wednesday. 3,888 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Wednesday.
