June 8, 2021 10:00 a.m.

A two-vehicle wreck impacted traffic during the afternoon commute in Roseburg on Monday.

A Roseburg Police report said at 5:10 p.m. a 19-year old driver was headed east on West Harvard near Elizabeth while traffic was stopped in the outside lane. A 26-year old was in the driveway of the former Harvard Avenue Drugs building and entered the roadway with the intention of making a left turn onto Harvard. The second driver didn’t see the first vehicle in the outside lane and the two collided there.

The report said neither person was injured, but both vehicles appeared to be totaled. The second driver only had a learner’s permit and did not have anyone in the vehicle with them. He was cited for failure to yield before entering a highway and for having no operator’s license.

Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. The roadway was partially blocked while the scene was cleaned up.
