A Sutherlin woman was cited for unlawful possession of heroin and for theft in the third-degree, by Roseburg Police on Friday.

An RPD report said just before 12:30 p.m. the 39-year old fled a store in the 900 block of West Harvard after employees struggled with the woman’s purse, which allegedly contained merchandise she did not purchase. A search of the purse also reportedly resulted in the seizure of heroin.

The woman was released after the citation was issued.
